Who am I?

Who am I?

My name is Callie, like the state (although strangely not in spelling).
I’m currently studying at the University of North Florida.
I’m a International Studies major with a concentration on foreign language and culture, as well as a photography minor.
I’m a hard worker and strive to put 100% into making my dreams come true.
One of my ultimate dreams is to travel the world. I’ve knocked a few countries off the list so far, and I can’t wait to continue to. You’ll see in this blog that different places around the whole world really inspire me. Different countries with different cultures and languages, they are my muse.
~On to Random Facts:
I’m a yoga fanatic. I can’t get enough of it.
I love photography (as you probably can infer, being it’s my minor).
I’m a heavy book-reader and movie-watcher!
One day I really want to own a great dane, a bird, and a ferret.
I love the beach. I don’t know how to surf, but it’s goal of mine to learn one day.
And to round things off, I’m a sweet-tooth junkie. I can’t get enough sugary, baked sweetness. Give me a chocolate chip cookie and will be best friends!

The Mystical Islands

My personal muses and inspirations come from the beautiful places one can discover and explore all around the world.
A current fascination of mine is the Faroe Islands, a territory of Denmark. They are a beautiful trail of varying-sized islands lying in the chilly, deep-blue North Atlantic ocean. There are only about 50,000 people living on the islands, but that does not even come close to how many animals, like sheep and fish highly outnumber them, calling the islands home as well. With jagged high cliffs and rushing waves all the way to calm, windy valleys and relaxed, small villages the Faroe Islands are a mystical place just waiting to be explored.
Let your adventure begin!
